Read the letters: identical. Now look at the note shapes and where the bar line falls.
  • Pitch is which note it is.La altura es qué nota es.
  • Rhythm is how long it lasts.El ritmo es cuánto dura.
  • You can change one and not the other.Puedes cambiar uno sin tocar el otro.
  • This is the cheapest revision you own - your notes are already chosen and already correct.Es la revisión más barata que tienes: tus notas ya están elegidas y ya están bien.

Four notes, four quarters. Same notes, different lengths - give me one.
  1. Same four notes, in the same order.Las mismas cuatro notas, en el mismo orden.
  2. Give me a different set of lengths.Dame otras duraciones.
  3. Does it still count to four?¿Sigue sumando cuatro?
  4. We play both and decide with our ears.Tocamos las dos y decidimos con el oído.

The first idea is usually four quarters again. Ask for one long note - the decision only becomes real when something is held.

My Bar, Two Ways
