The 4 Visual Tools (from yesterday)

Las 4 Herramientas Visuales (de ayer)

1. Setting

Escenario

WHERE the video takes place tells you what world the artist is commenting on. Church? Prison? School? Abandoned lot?

DÓNDE ocurre el video te dice sobre qué mundo está comentando el artista.

2. Color

Bright = hope/innocence. Dark = danger/oppression. Red = violence/passion. Gold = power/aspiration. Directors choose EVERY color.

Brillante = esperanza. Oscuro = peligro. Rojo = violencia. Dorado = poder. Los directores eligen CADA color.

3. Symbols

Símbolos

Objects that represent bigger ideas. A raised fist = resistance. Empty chairs = loss. Chains = oppression. A child dancing = innocence.

Objetos que representan ideas más grandes. Puño en alto = resistencia. Sillas vacías = pérdida. Cadenas = opresión.

4. Camera Movement

Movimiento de Cámara

Close-up = intimacy/emotion. Wide shot = isolation/scale. Shaky cam = chaos/urgency. Slow motion = weight/importance.

Primer plano = intimidad. Plano general = aislamiento. Cámara temblorosa = caos. Cámara lenta = importancia.

Make Scene 2 Stronger

Haz la Escena 2 Más Fuerte
08:00

Scene 2 is where your visual CHANGES as the message deepens. Ask yourself:

La Escena 2 es donde tu visual CAMBIA a medida que el mensaje se profundiza. Pregúntate:
DOK 3 – ANALYZE

Look at your Scene 2. Does the visual BUILD on Scene 1 – or does it just repeat it? If it repeats, change ONE element.

Scene 3 = Your Most Powerful Moment

Escena 3 = Tu Momento Más Poderoso
10:00

This is your HOOK LINE on screen. The viewer should FEEL it. Ask yourself:

Esta es tu LÍNEA GANCHO en pantalla. El espectador debe SENTIRLA. Pregúntate:
DOK 3 – ANALYZE

Read your hook line. Now look at your Scene 3 visual. Do they match? Does the image AMPLIFY the words – or just illustrate them? Amplify > Illustrate.

The Last Thing They See

Lo Último Que Ven
07:00

Your closing scene stays in the viewer’s mind AFTER the video ends. Ask yourself:

Tu escena final se queda en la mente del espectador DESPUÉS de que termina el video. Pregúntate:

Pro tip: The best music video endings DON’T resolve everything. They leave a question hanging. What’s YOUR question?

Consejo: Los mejores finales de videos musicales NO resuelven todo. Dejan una pregunta en el aire. ¿Cuál es TU pregunta?
