Stand. Sing the chorus tag of Lift Every Voice with the class — one take. Then sit. Mr. Mbagwu plays a 10-second mystery clip. Whisper to your partner: "Have we heard this song?"

De pie. Canta el coro de Lift Every Voice. Siéntate. Escucha el clip misterioso. Susurra a tu pareja: "¿Hemos oído esta canción?"

I Can…

Yo Puedo…

I can hear five Unit 5 anthems, name each one, and match each to the social-commentary issue it carries — with my partner, defending the match with a piece of musical evidence.

Puedo escuchar cinco himnos de la Unidad 5, nombrar cada uno y emparejarlos con el tema social que llevan — con mi pareja, defendiendo la elección con evidencia musical.

HOW TODAY WORKS • ≤5 MIN TEACHER TALK

Pair up. Mr. Mbagwu plays clip 1 (~60 sec). Pair-whisper: name + issue + one piece of musical evidence (instrument, lyric, mood). Repeat for clips 2-5. After clip 5, share-out: random pairs share their answer for ONE clip. Then a short exit ticket. The activity is the assessment.

Forma pareja. Cinco clips. Susurra: nombre + tema + una evidencia. Compartir al azar. Luego boleto de salida.
